Students are provided with step-by-step marking and assistance to ensure they receive the right help at the right time no matter how they choose to engage with a question. Our content is engaging and interactive, and the Mathspace system adapts to student proficiency while providing a wealth of data for educators to guide their students' growth to complete mastery.
Our Education team is looking for an experienced high school mathematics teacher to give a detailed review of content across grades for 7-10. You will be responsible for the review of questions, ensuring scaffolding of difficulty and coverage of key concepts to ensure Mathspace is a comprehensive stand-alone Mathematics resource.
We are initially offering this as a contract position with a 20-hour-per-week commitment.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years teaching grades 7 through 10
- Current teaching registration in your state or territory
- Excellent conceptual understanding of the development of mathematics from primary through to secondary
- A deep understanding of the syllabus and the variety of Mathematics questions required to test the full extent of the syllabus
- A collaborative and team-oriented approach
- A strong ability to work independently
- Excellent communication skills, including written, video presentations and verbal
- Attention to detail
Nice to haves
- Video editing experience
- Experience authoring textbook lessons and questions
- Experience writing or marking exams (Eg. Catholic/Independent Schools papers)
- Experience using LaTex, Python or SQL
