Job Description

Cape Mentelle Vineyard is proud to be one of Margaret River’s ‘founding five’ wineries. Our winery has pioneered many of the region’s renowned wine styles and today is a benchmark for the quality of the region’s wines. We aim to produce wines that capture a unique sense of place in every bottle. These characteristics are defined by our pristine coastal location, unique soils and 50 years of viticultural history.

This is a minimum 9-month fixed term contract maternity leave cover based at the winery in Margaret River, Western Australia. Reporting to the Estate Director, the Marketing Manager is responsible for communicating and driving awareness, desirability and activation of Cape Mentelle on a Global level, making it the reference brand for Margaret River. This is a hands-on role, working closely with the winery, markets and the central team based in Paris. You be responsible for the brand’s strategic planning and oversight of marketing activations across all regions as well as managing the fine details.


Main responsibilities will be:

  • Brand strategy and equity building
  • Being the ‘owner and guardian’ of the brand codes and DNA to ensure consistency of brand execution and activation
  • Global marketing management and yearly planning, working closely with the winery, Business Development team, core markets and the central team to develop marketing plans
  • Advertising and Promotion budget management
  • Brand identity and packaging
  • Brand content including copy, social channels, direct communication and visual identity
  • Online, off and on-premise visibility amp; activation
  • Key Opinion Leader and Public Relations strategy
  • Brand event design and execution

Requirements

To be successful, you will have:

  • 5 - 7 years’ experience in marketing positions
  • Knowledge of wines and spirits industry and or a very strong interest in wines
  • Sensitivity to the luxury industry
  • Global Marketing experience is essential
  • Strong appreciation of different markets and cultures
  • Drive, determination with attention for detail
  • Good communication skills (oral, written and presentation)
