To improve the quality of the products we provide to our clients, we are looking to hire a quality assurance (QA) engineer. Your work is essential in developing continuous test processes and quality requirements for our payment method portfolio. You would also help us to move toward an automated test environment.
You will be working closely with our team in Alpha Fintech (a ppro company), a cloud-based platform that allows for the seamless integration of digital payments products and services, from payment processing and merchant management to risk management, fraud prevention, and data analytics.What you'll be doing

You will be working closely with our team in Alpha Fintech (a ppro company), a cloud-based platform that allows for the seamless integration of digital payments products and services, from payment processing and merchant management to risk management, fraud prevention, and data analytics.What you'll be doing
- Translation of business requirements into test scenarios.
- Review, validate and coordinate deliveries.
- Responsible for quality assurance and testing and their enhanced featuresDesign and execute automated and manual test scenarios.
- Automate acceptance tests by leveraging coding skills, performance testing, automated generation of test data for web UI based scenarios as well as API based scenarios
- Clarification of technical details/defects during testing amp; QA
- Deliver extensive code coverage through writing thorough system integration tests
- Build, deploy, run amp; manage applications individually
- Analyse test reports, small code samples, HTTP Requests, scripting and other web technologies are second nature to your daily business
- Documentation and review of test results and user flows in close collaboration with engineers, business analysts and third parties (alternative payment schemes and test providers) to help resolve reported defects
- Working with other members of the Engineering team including developers, product managers, QA testers, and think like a developer
- Ensure quality excellence in all areas: software, test deliverables, automation plans, test reports, and documented results
- Backend Testing Tools: Postman or SoapUI
- LinuxOS
- Log Management and Analysis Tools: Console, Moba, Kibana or Splunk
- Database Analysis: SQL and MongDB
- Test Automation:Serenity BDD with Cucumber, Maven, Java, SmartBear TestComplete, Newman for Postman, TestContainers
- Ideally in a Mid/Senior QA/Automation role, with solid experience in testing software applications and quality assurance processes
- Knowledge and utilisation of test concepts, methods, automation frameworks, and tools
- Ability to create and execute test plans, test cases, test scripts, test reports and assisting with debugging, analysing test script results
- Strong analytical, detail-oriented, problem-solving, and root cause analysis
- Self-driven personality, doing whatever is needed to take the ownership of the product’s quality and excellence.
- Excellent hands-on experience with Java, Maven and SQL
- Experience with cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, Docker, Kubernetes) would be a plus
- Basic JavaScript programming skills with open source libraries on backend services would be a plus
- Proficiency in English (both spoken and written), and effective communication skills.
- You’ll also need to be eligible to live and work in the country of employment.
- Tertiary education in Software Engineering or a related field
- ISTQB Certification
