As Head of Distribution, you will be responsible for the accurate, safe and efficient movement of all stock, starting from receiving into our distribution centre through to its final destination in customer homes. You will also set the strategy for how our operations function must evolve to meet the growing needs of the customer. Part of this challenge will be designing how our operations functions scale to meet demand - but it will also involve faster SLAs and new services. You will lead a team of more than 30 team members - setting standards of behaviour and developing and coaching your team. You will be leading investment, growth and cost decisions while leveraging technology at all stages to achieve the goals of the business.

As a Head of Distribution at Brosa, you’ll get to:
  • Lead the Distribution Centre team and Last Mile Delivery team
  • Own the delivery SLAs and key distribution centre KPIs and translate company KPIs into both individual and team KPIs
  • Ensure our logistics teams continue to deliver a best-in-class furniture delivery experience adhering to SLAs, delivery lead time targets and cost benchmarks
  • Design how our operations functions will scale to meet demand
  • Develop and execute plans to build strategically defensible services and experiences into our customer offering (Next Day Delivery, etc )
  • Help establish policies, procedures, and processes that enhance efficiency, reduce costs and maintain a safe work environment within operations
  • Collaborate across functions and work with our technology team to identify new features to increase efficiency
  • Work with key suppliers to build a productive operating rhythm
  • Build a results-orientated, high-performance culture in your team through your commitment to and belief in continuous improvements
  • Foster a culture of learning and safety with a focus on efficiency.


What you bring to the table

  • At least 5+ years of experience in operations:
  • Either within a leadership position for the last 2+ years’ for a $100M+ retailer or:
    • 3+ years’ experience in management consulting with a focus on logistics or
    • 3+ years’ in leadership operational roles within a fast-growing entrepreneurial businesses
  • Past exposure in scaling business operations to meet the growth demand
  • A process-oriented mindset with experience leveraging technology to drive efficiency
  • Excellent analytical skills, ability to problem solve and high attention to detail
  • Strong communication and influencing skills
  • Strong people management experience
  • A change management and employee culture development background
  • A focus on workplace safety

Bonus Experience

  • eCommerce or Direct to Consumer retail operations experience
  • Working in Furniture or other bulky goods industries
