The opportunity
This role is reporting to the Tasmanian business leader and is responsible for the successful delivery of Project Management services and achieving business revenue and profitability targets in delivering those services. Our advisory services will cover the full life cycle of projects from the initial planning and design stages (pre-contract) and the construction delivery (post-contract) of both buildings and civil sector projects in Tasmania.
We are looking for a driven and self-motivated professional who will be responsible for meeting revenue targets and maintaining good relationships with the client representative at a project level. The individual will be expected to develop the business lines and expand the client base and/or project volume. We operate in a collaborative supporting team environment, ensuring that client objectives are met and that projects are delivered to time and cost targets and the appropriate quality, sustainability and safety standards.
Working across a range of projects, you will:
- Deliver project management and cost management services, including superintendency
- Establish and maintain strong professional relationships with clients and stakeholders
- Manage a small team of consultants (2) providing guidance and mentorship
- Lead and coordinate the project team through the design and delivery phases
- Lead the preparation of capital and operating cost estimates across the design

About you
To be successful in this role, you will need to:
- Minimum 5 years experience in building and civil sector in Australia
- Have a tertiary qualification in construction management, quantity surveying, architecture or equivalent
- Good working knowledge of industry software tools for planning, document management, cost/quantification, project control and reporting.
- Experience in the administration of AS forms of contract.
- Strong interpersonal skills and exceptional relationship management skills
