About the Role

- Consumer Service Delivery Level 2 $67,330 - $72,196 per annum
- Hours: Mon-Friday 4pm-10pm
- Based at the Links To Wellbeing Service Site, Morphett Vale, SA.
Peer Support Worker's (PSW's) are integral members of the team and draw on their lived experience of life changing experiences and personal recovery. PSWs use these lived experiences to connect with others experiencing distress, break down stigma, exploring what recovery might look like for the person they are supporting, and instilling confidence and hope.
PSWs are an important element of the team approach and bring the wisdom of experience to many aspects of service delivery. As a PSW, you may at times be asked to participate in other aspects of service, bringing your lived experience knowledge and insight. PSWs have access to a tailored training program and to regular supervision.
Core duties
- Work to the principles that underpin the Collaborative Recovery Model (CRM) protocols.
- Engage consumers and develop trusting and professional relationships
- Work closely with clinical case managers in order to deliver the best possible comprehensive service to consumers
- Work within a holistic framework taking into account the needs of consumers, family, carers and other members of the community and provide culturally appropriate service responses
- Lived experience of your own mental illness and a rich understanding of your own processes of recovery
- A willingness to purposefully use your own story to help others further their own understanding of recovery
Mandatory requirements:
- It is a requirement of the Peer Support Worker position that you hold, and provide Neami evidence of, a Mental Health (or equivalent Human Services, Community Services) qualification of Certificate IV level or above, or complete such a qualification within 2 years of your commencement of employment.

- Drivers licence
- Police check (refer to PD) disclosable outcomes considered
- Neami National will require, as part of our condition of employment, that all candidates applying for any position must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 (or have received two doses of an approved COVID-19 vaccine and have a scheduled appointment to receive their booster dose.)
- Candidates will be required to provide appropriate evidence of COVID-19 vaccination to Neami National.
