An opportunity now exists for a qualified Technician to join our state of the art workshop at Rothwell
Job tasks and responsibilities
You are required to perform a range of engine amp; mechanical tests, to diagnose, repair and service as per our product warranty guidelines, company policy and workshop manager instruction.
- Providing expert advice in relation to current mechanical condition of vehicles
- Taking all necessary diagnostic steps to ensure the correct operation of vehicles sold under dealer warranty including the dismantling and reconstruction or replacement of faulty components
- Repairing the mechanical parts of the motor vehicle such as the engine, transmission and the suspension systems
- Reporting all necessary work, service or repairs to the Service Manager and recording information using in-house databases or reporting systems
- Providing guidance and training to apprentice service technicians
- Maintaining an up to date knowledge of all mechanical issues and changes relating to dealer product range
- Maintaining a safe working environment through ensuring the correct operation of all tools and specialized equipment
- Ensuring the safe work practices of all Apprentice staff
- Test driving and conducting final assessments prior to the delivery or return of vehicles to customers
- Providing high level customer service to the dealerships customers
- Other duties as directed
Skills and experience
- Current manual drivers license
- Qualifications as a Technician
- Current RWC license would be advantage
- Ability to work productively and efficiently in a team environment
- Highly motivated
- Customer Service focused
- Knowledge and operation of all relevant Health and Safety legislation
- Previous history working in a Jeep workshop would be an advantage
