Job Description

DOF have a fantastic opportunity for you to kick start your career as a Marine Engineer with a world class organisation with an equally world class fleet of vessels. We are offering cadetships on maximum duration contracts, with the possibility of offshore work as an Engineering Watchkeeper after the successful completion of the cadetship.
As an Officer in Charge of Engineering Watch (OICEW), you would be responsible for the safe and proper operation of main propulsion plant of the ship, and of the associated auxiliaries as well as power generation and distribution systems and other equipment such as refrigeration plant and pumping and ventilation systems and more. Requirements
- Eligible to enrol in, currently enrolled in or recently completed STCW III/1 - Officer in Charge of Engineering Watch (OICEW).
- Very good interpersonal skills, including excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to solve problems independently and within a team environment.
- A professional work ethic and the ability to strive for continuous improvement.
- The ability to work effectively as part of a team.
