Job Description

Reporting to the Global Talent Acquisition Director, the Regional Talent Acquisition Lead will adapt the global talent attraction / recruitment strategy to ensure successful delivery at the Regional level for the Create Service Line. The role will work closely with the Global Talent Acquisition Director and will be responsible for leading a regional team of Talent Acquisition Specialists that will deliver full-cycle recruitment for the studios within their region.

The Regional Leads will develop, design and implement talent acquisition practices and activities specific to their region with an eye on how this fits with the larger, global approach. The Regional Leads will collaborate with Studio Heads and other senior leaders to understand the specific requirements of the individual studios and ensure that the Talent Acquisition Specialists have all the information and resources required to meet their recruitment targets.

A key focus of the Regional Lead position will be to break down the silos between individual studios and look to leverage on the full regional resources of the Create Service Line.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Global Talent Acquisition Director with the development of regional talent sourcing and attraction strategies, in line with the global talent acquisition strategy
  • Monitor, measure and report on the performance of the Talent Acquisition function within their region, identify shortfalls, and recommend solutions.
  • Work closely with the Studio Heads to understand their individual recruitment requirements and work with the regional Talent Acquisition Specialists to ensure successful delivery of these requirements
  • Manage, mentor, and develop the regional Talent Acquisition Specialists and act to remove any blockers/obstacles impending their ability to meet recruitment requirements
  • Provide expert talent acquisition advice to the various Studios and the Talent Acquisition Specialists within their region
  • Represent the Create Service Line at Regional recruitment events and speaking engagements, and identify opportunities for promotional activities within their region
  • Own, monitor and report on the candidate satisfaction levels within their region
  • Champions continuous improvement in the talent acquisition strategy including use of innovative practices and technology enablers to deliver an exceptional experience for all stakeholders
  • Monitor the Talent Acquisition budget for their Region and report to the Global TA Director
  • Lead efforts to facilitate internal movement of talent between studios
  • Assist with the development of the global sourcing function for the Create Service Line
  • Identify regional activities to promote Create studios e.g. graduate events, conferences, careers events, etc.
  • Identify and recommend opportunities for technology platforms to improve effectiveness amp; efficiency of the recruitment function
  • Identify Regional level sourcing options and economies of scale e.g. discounted agency agreements
  • Act as the regional focal point for any employment branding activities for the Create Service Line

Requirements

  • A minimum of 8 years of experience within the Talent Acquisition field or equivalent level of experience in a technical leadership role within the game development industry.
  • At least 2 years of previous leadership experience within a Senior Talent Acquisition role
  • Ability to lead and motivate a multi-location team and create an engaging, performance focused working environment.
  • Previous experience recruiting within the Game Development or Creative industries would be highly preferred
  • Proven people leadership skill and ability, with demonstrated ability to develop positive relationships with all levels of management and staff
  • Proven experience recruiting Executive and Team Leadership level talent
  • Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal communication, and presentation skills.
  • A strong understanding of human resources programs, policies and practices; specifically, those related to recruitment, employment equity and workplace diversity
  • Bachelor’s degree and post-graduate education, with a preferred focus on Human Resources, or equivalent work experience
