About the Job

As we continue to scale up and increase our customer base, we are looking for a Graduate Security Officer to join us in this newly created role. We are seeking an individual who is passionate about compliance and will strive to meet and exceed our security requirements, now and as we continue to grow!

Working in alignment with our experienced and supportive engineers, some of your day-to-day tasks will include:

  • Completing security questionnaires for customers,
  • Reviewing security sections of customer agreements,
  • Drafting security documents and contributing to new policies,
  • Work with Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) platform,
      • Monitor and respond to notifications
      • Update documentation
  • Maintain data protection compliance:
      • European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)
      • SOC2 Type 2
  • Maintain employee identities in our systems,
  • Work with Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) solution
      • Monitor and investigate SIEM alerts
      • Create/improve the SIEM alert rules,
  • Monitor web application vulnerability scans,
  • Organize external penetration testing,
  • Conduct/configure internal simulated phishing campaigns.

About You

The successful candidate for this position will have:

  • Tertiary qualifications are highly desirable, but more so, is your enthusiasm and passion for security.
  • Exposure/ or be willing to upskill to Windows or Linux system administration and/or network administration.
  • Self-driven, eager to learn and a curious nature will see you succeed in this role.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills enabling you to interact with both business and technical audiences.
  • Based in Australia with full-working rights.
