The opportunity

DOF Subsea places a great deal of importance and commitment on our vacation program as we know our future success relies heavily on today’s students. We are offering an exciting opportunity for a motivated and enthusiastic engineering vacation student to gain work experience in our vacation student program running for 12 weeks over the summer holidays. We are seeking applications from people studying the following disciplines, recognised by Engineers Australia for professional membership:

  • Civil/Structural Engineering
  • Ocean Engineering
  • Mechanical Engineering
  • Naval Architecture
  • Mechatronics Engineering

You will be involved in the safe execution and closeout of engineering tasks associated with underwater intervention projects. Our modern and advanced fleet of subsea intervention vessels provides an invaluable opportunity for you to learn on the job whilst being involved in a wide range of offshore oil and gas projects. This unique experience will leave you with a deeper understanding of the subsea construction industry and DOF Subsea’s operations.

Requirements

In order to be considered for this opportunity you will require the following:

  • Demonstrated Academic Achievement;
  • Be in one of the following stages of your studies:
    • Due to graduate in 2023,
    • Be in your final year graduating, or
    • Have recently completed your studies.
  • Demonstrated initiative and personal responsibility to work, study and the community;
  • Excellent communication with strong analytical skills and a focus on teamwork; and
  • Possess a strong safety ethic.
