The Company

Key accountabilities may include:

  • Ensure that all incidents and accidents are reported and are followed up correctly to minimise and manage risk and oversee investigations where required, ensuring that the Occupational Health and Safety Act is complied with at all times.
  • Undertake electrical duties as required by the Mines Safety and Inspection Regulations, for the Fimiston Plant area
  • Participate in Reliability Centred Maintenance (RCM), Team Based Risk Assessments (TBRA’s), and Risk Register analysis.
  • Spend significant time in the field inspecting and reviewing the condition of the equipment, identifying areas requiring documentation and setting up plans to create this, also interacting with the workforce, to understand improvement opportunities.
  • Ensure contractors at Fimiston Plant are compliant with KCGM electrical policies and procedures e.g. dig permits, High Voltage (HV) permits, isolations and electrical tagging and that required qualifications/licences are up-to-date.
  • Ensure the maintenance of statutory electrical testing and records for all equipment in the Fimiston Plant area.
  • Ensure electrical systems are compliant in accordance with regulations, standards and codes. Also assist in the HV training of site electrical personnel.
  • Review with the Planner/Scheduler and sign-off weekly maintenance schedule to ensure all priority maintenance activities are managed effectively.

Requirements

Essential

  • ‘A’ Grade electrical fitter licence in accordance with MSIR 5.10(2)(a).
  • Minimum of seven (7) year’s practical experience in an electrical maintenance environment, preferably in mining/minerals processing.
  • Frontline supervisory experience, preferably in a mining/minerals processing environment.
  • Minimum of three (3) year’s practical experience with high voltage electrical systems.
  • MS Office suite (MS Outlook, MS Excel, MS Project)
  • Must reside within the Goldfields region.
  • National Police Clearance within twelve (12) months of age
  • Current Unencumbered Western Australian C Class Drivers Licence.

Preferred

  • Experience with computer-based maintenance planning/scheduling.
  • Experience working in a mining / minerals processing plant.
