The Opportunity

Due to upcoming work scopes, DOF Subsea currently requires an experienced subsea Senior Design Engineer.

We are currently seeking to employ a Senior Design Engineer on a temporary basis to work on sea fastening, transportation and lifting of heavy equipment and client permanent materials. The successful candidate must have experience in the design of temporary steel structures and lift rigging, preferably for a marine environment.

Additionally it is preferable if the candidate has experience in rigging design and lifting analysis.

Requirements

The successful candidate will have the following skills and experience:

  • Minimum 6 years' relevant experience in the design and analysis of steel structures related to ships and offshore construction;
  • Working knowledge of SPACE GASS software and allowable stress design methods;
  • A four-year Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Structural or Civil Engineering, Naval Architecture, Ocean, Mechanical, that is recognised by Engineers Australia for Professional Membership;
  • A practical design approach that works in the real world; and
  • A strong commitment to HSEQ.
