The CDC Foundation is working with CDC and state and local authorities to provide surge staffing resources that are crucial to the nation’s COVID-19 response. For this position, the CDC Foundation seeks candidates who are experienced public health professionals to provide support to a state or local health department in the ongoing fight against COVID-19.The Maryland Department of Health is seeking a Site Compliance Reviewer to support their Operations team. The Site Compliance Reviewer is responsible for ensuring compliance at various immunization sites. The ideal candidate will work across the team to ensure deliverables are timely and meet expectations. Successful candidates will take personal pride in quality assurance and compliance processes and their role in the overall success of vaccine distribution efforts. This position travels the assigned region to conduct site audits in vaccination sites, to include offices, clinics, hospitals, distribution hubs and Local Health Department offices and others identified. It also involves completion of required CDC data input,paperworkand audits.This position requires driving.This position requires the operation of a motor vehicle as a component of the job responsibilities and duties. In adherence with CDC Foundation’s Driver Safety Motor Vehicle Policy (Policy), offers for employment for this position require the Applicant to provide authorization to the CDC Foundation to conduct a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) review both pre-employment and also annually post-employment while in this position. Additionally, if an offer of employment is accepted, employees in these positions must possess and maintain a valid driver's license in their state of residence, self-report motor vehicle violations/convictions, and provide proof of acceptable insurance coverage with mandatory minimum coverages as set forth within the Driver Safety Motor Vehicle policy. All offers of employment and continued employment for this position are contingent upon meeting all minimum qualifications of this Policy.Must be able to travel 20-30 miles per day in personal vehicle or Local Health Department vehicle.Responsibilities
  • Ensure all required immunization site visits are completed in a timely manner.
  • Direct and provide education and informational materials to individuals, families, and communities which reflect unique needs, and cultural and socio-economic situations.
  • Participate in the determination and implementation of client care, documentation standards, quality assurance program criteria, and monitor the documentation of their achievement and compliance.
  • Perform site visit to include looking at patient charts, refrigerator and freezer, certificates of calibration, review paperwork, answer questions and training. Audits must comply with policies and procedures regarding confidential information and data security for the handling of sensitive client information and protected health information.
  • Develop comprehensive standard operating procedures to ensure smooth operations.
  • Contribute to collection of information and assessment of population needs to inform strategies, priorities and adaptive solutions.
  • Identify data information needs and work closely with information systems to facilitate the collection of data. Use data to inform outreach, screening, and case-finding and follow-up.
  • May monitor programs for standards of care, education to clients and communities and coordination of other resources.
