The React-Native Mobile AppDeveloper will support the Maryland Department of Health Vital Statistics Administration. The Developer’s objectives are to develop cross-platform apps and progress web apps and to build user-friendly cross-platform mobile applications that integrate with various state systems.Responsibilities
- Work independently or as part of a small team to build mobile and progressive web applications.
- Architect, build and maintain excellent React Native applications with clean code.
- Implement pixel perfect UI's that match designs.
- Implement clean, modern, smooth animations and transitions that provide an excellent user experience.
- Integrate third-party API's.
- Write unit and integration tests.
- Release applications to IOS and Google Play stores.
- Work with native modules when required.
- Work as part of a small team.
- Participate in Sprint planning meetings, provide estimate and participate in daily standups.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or closely related field OR relevant work experience in place of this educational requirement.
Qualifications
- At least 5 years of Software Development experience
- At least 3 years of experience developing applications using React-Native
- A proven and successful history, developing elegant and scalable code
- Experience integrating native API's
- History of writing well documented, clean JavaScript code
- Knowledge and experience with REST and GraphQL API's
- Experience with Redux
- Experience with Expo is a plus
- Familiarity with App Store amp; Play Store (submission process, rules, general knowledge)
- Awareness of how different platforms/devices can impact code
- Confidence with Git versioning practices
- Experience testing API and database levels of a product or application
