The React-Native Mobile AppDeveloper will support the Maryland Department of Health Vital Statistics Administration. The Developer’s objectives are to develop cross-platform apps and progress web apps and to build user-friendly cross-platform mobile applications that integrate with various state systems.Responsibilities
  • Work independently or as part of a small team to build mobile and progressive web applications.
  • Architect, build and maintain excellent React Native applications with clean code.
  • Implement pixel perfect UI's that match designs.
  • Implement clean, modern, smooth animations and transitions that provide an excellent user experience.
  • Integrate third-party API's.
  • Write unit and integration tests.
  • Release applications to IOS and Google Play stores.
  • Work with native modules when required.
  • Work as part of a small team.
  • Participate in Sprint planning meetings, provide estimate and participate in daily standups.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or closely related field OR relevant work experience in place of this educational requirement.
Qualifications
  • At least 5 years of Software Development experience
  • At least 3 years of experience developing applications using React-Native
  • A proven and successful history, developing elegant and scalable code
  • Experience integrating native API's
  • History of writing well documented, clean JavaScript code
  • Knowledge and experience with REST and GraphQL API's
  • Experience with Redux
  • Experience with Expo is a plus
  • Familiarity with App Store amp; Play Store (submission process, rules, general knowledge)
  • Awareness of how different platforms/devices can impact code
  • Confidence with Git versioning practices
  • Experience testing API and database levels of a product or application
