What the role looks like. Yourrole as aQA Engineer (UX) at Cover Genius is to be the gatekeeper of quality code. As a QA amp; UX engineer, you will be responsible for developing test frameworks to ensure great end-to-end usability.
You will develop test frameworks, work closely with engineers to help implement testing best-practice and be a key person in ensuring our QA processes are robust and scalable.Reporting to the Lead QA Engineering Manager and working on a project team for a major web-based product, you will be tasked with driving quality and automation to increase product integrity.
Your key responsbilities - Work closely with our client’s e-commerce platforms to assess the customer user experience;
- Regularly perform thorough end-to-end UX regression testing when bugs are resolved
- Help improve the design based on your UX test results;
- Identifying, recording, documenting and thoroughly tracking bugs implement testing best practices and be a key person in ensuring our QA processes are robust and scalable.
- Developing and applying software test processes for new and existing products to meet the company objectives
- Liaising with internal teams (e.g. developers and product managers) to identify system requirements
An idea of the type of profile we are looking for: - 3 years or more of full-time experience working as a QA or Test Engineer in a modern software company or tech startup
- UX (user experience) testing experience; or passion and motivation to develop UX testing skills
- Solid experience in testing Web applications and browser bonus
- Experience in testing e-commerce platforms
- Solid experience in exploratory testing
- Interest in working in a startup/scaleup environment
- Extensive experience in exploratory testing techniquesSolid requirement analysis and gap analysis skills
- Experience working with mature agile development practices such as Scrum or Kanban
- A reasonableunderstanding of HTTP protocol and client-server architecture
- Bonus points if you have experience in testing Web APIs
- Interest in working in a dynamic, startup-like environment
- Comfortable with agile development such as Scrum or Kanban
- Interest to learn or deepen technical and automation skills
