A day in the life:
Working closely with our Data Architecture team, as a technical Business Analyst, you will review information and processes in order to improve, document and to design changes to the data platform and systems. You will work autonomously to solve problems and drive outcomes that are consistent with the Technology roadmap in support of the overall Business strategy. About you:You are passionate about all things data. You will be working with data architects, data engineers, data analysts, developers, product owners and squads on identifying, analysing and documenting the technical and non-functional requirements. You will be required to run sessions and workshops with various stakeholders, collaboration across multiple teams on validating the requirements, defining backlog, user stories, participating in scrum/sprints planning and showcase sessions.Technical Business Analyst role will take on the following accountabilities:
  • Identifies and engage with business and technical stakeholders to collate user needs, identify objectives, opportunities and potential benefits available to support prioritization of user stories.
  • Able to elicit and document technical requirements and provide input to support prioritising user stories
  • Keeping the delivery teams accountable to the design/build requirements of the data platform features or patterns to enable product teams and data consumers to be more self-sufficient and effective
  • Assist in driving the onboarding of data pipelines and direction by providing an actionable product roadmap, and the technical aspects of producing consumable data
  • Ensure detailed and clear communication is performed with all stake holders through appropriate formal and informal communications channels.
  • Work collaboratively with engineers, data teams, scientists
  • Take ownership of the data platform backlog by creating user stories and features with business and technical value identified on each item
  • Will be involved in solution design for projects as may be specified by the functional / technical specifications required for the data infrastructure
  • Investigate problems and analyses options for new and existing services.
  • Analyse current services and processes and identify and implement opportunities to optimise these.
  • Test the user stories in conjunction with the engineers/testers for accuracy and compliance to ensure undisputed acceptance and validation of stories
  • Ensure all documentation is kept up to date (system and architecture)
  • Interpret and define data models
  • Highlight any opportunity areas to improve data platform usage and experience (internally and externally)
