A day in the life:
This role is for an experienced technical business analyst to work initially on PEXA’s B2C offering. We are seeking a motivated and customer oriented Technical Business Analyst to join the digital services team, to begin an exciting career within our business unit.
Primary role is to support web and mobile application squads. The candidate will work with both customer and development team members to write user stories, define goals, document requirements, and analyse business functions to become an expert in the business domain. A critical component will be to work closely with Integration architects to define microservices and APIs with their guidance. Experience with defining microservices and APIs is a must.
The Technical Business Analyst is the key liaison between the Product Owner and the technology delivery group, is responsible for ensuring that the requirements are understood, and that the technology solutions meet the acceptance criteria. The Analyst will take ownership of features, user stories, acceptance criteria, and any additional requirements artefacts. The Analyst must have a customer focus and be able to work closely with customers to understand pain points and drive better solutions for our members. Must support and contribute to the Agile practices adopted by the development team.What you'll be doing day to day:
  • Seek direction from Product Owner on story priorities for the squad
  • Validate design solutions with Product Owner, Product Management, Business Development, Architects, and relevant business stakeholders where required
  • Create user stories to assist with the development of enhancements. Some stories will require API/microservices definition.
  • Guide the development teams to break down large and complex user stories into simplified versions for execution
  • Collaborate closely with the agile squad to ensure common understanding of a design
  • Engage UX team to ensure designs adhere to best practice and PEXA guidelines/branding etc
  • Test the user stories in conjunction with the testers for accuracy and compliance to ensure undisputed acceptance and validation of stories
  • Participate and play an active role in agile ceremonies
  • Keep Product Owner up to date on progress of sprints and escalate where required
  • Communicate needed changes to the development team including support of functional design showcases to commu
