Systems Engineer - Citrix

Job Description
blueAPACHE, a multi-award winning Managed Services Provider, is seeking an experienced Systems Engineer to join our Infrastructure Services Team. Acting as the escalation point for our Service Desk, you will be responsible for resolving day to day Citrix and systems related issues. Duties and responsibilities include:
- Managing blueAPACHE customer’s Citrix and systems infrastructure monitoring, reporting and maintaining systems and security Infrastructure as required.
- Provide first amp; second level technical Citrix infrastructure support as escalated from the service desk or direct from the customer.
- Resolve incidents and service requests for systems and Citrix related tickets.
- Be available to take phone calls for escalated enquiries or tickets.
- Perform onsite maintenance and troubleshooting when required.
- Complete patching and firmware updates after hours for all our customers Citrix infrastructure.
- Adhere to Incident, Problem and Change Management processes as per blueAPACHE/customer standards (ITIL Framework).
- Create and maintain technical documentation for customer environments.
- Provide after hours on-call assistance and/or escalation on a rotating basis.
- Attend customer meetings when required.
Requirements
The ideal candidate is an experienced and broad-skilled systems engineer with proven experience supporting Citrix infrastructure. Skills and experience include:
- Having supported large scale Citrix farms in dedicated On-Premise environments
- Experience supporting XenApp and/or XenDesktop
- Experience with Microsoft RDS/Terminal Services
- Citrix ADC, Netscalers, Citrix Gateway
- Citrix Workspace Environment Management
- Experience supporting broader infrastructure technologies including Wintel (Windows Server, Office 365, MS Exchange, Active Directory) and / or Virtualisation technologies (VMware, HyperV) would be highly regarded.
