Job Description

We are looking for a dynamic Business Development professional to join us on our mission and be one who empowers our future and current customers towards a more equitable and community-positive future. As a Business Development Manager - New Mobilities, you are the primary customer-facing role with the task of creating long-term, trusting relationships with future customers. This person will be the bridge between our products and the people who can benefit from them the most. Focusing on the Public/Community Transport sector, you will actively seek new client relationships, showcase our products, develop and finalise business opportunities and work closely with clients to ensure we meet their needs.

Acting as a consultant first, salesperson second, you will develop trust through industry and product knowledge, guiding clients towards a successful purchase and long-term implementation of our products.

You will succeed in this role if: you find focus in fast-paced environments; you have a startup mindset and don't mind wearing multiple hats at times; a passion for solving customer problems and an appetite to continuously learn and grow.

What You'll Do Day to Day:

  • Source and develop relationships with potential clients across Australia and New Zealand and beyond
  • Generate and cultivate leads and opportunities within the Public/Community Transport and other sectors, working closely with the Head of Growth to identify and enact long-term strategies and short-term targets
  • Act as a thought partner: consulting, educating and working with potential clients to define their future growth using Liftango products and support
  • Guide potential clients through the Needs discovery, Solution crafting and Implementation phases of the relationship with product demonstrations, scoping discussions and other devices to ensure the right fit
  • Conduct commercial negotiations and finalise product sales, ensuring the timely and successful delivery of our solutions according to customer needs and objectives
  • Represent Liftango, speaking and engaging at industry events to continue to build our presence in the market as leading innovators in the mobility space
  • Help Public/Community Transport organisations modernise their operations through better technology designed to their needs
  • Represent clients’ interest internally within Liftango to ensure an ongoing product/market fit
  • Interact with internal stakeholders including Business Growth, Product Deployment and Product Development representatives

Requirements

  • Experience working in a customer-facing role such as account management, client relations, sales or customer success
  • Ability to develop trusted, long-term relationships based on truthfully representing your own and Liftango’s values. You’ll be a perfect fit for our team, while working remotely and self-directed, within the bounds of respon
