Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Provisioning Officer to procure and provision network services for client projects.
Responsibilities include:
- Ordering new and upgrading / terminating existing Carrier network services (internet links, cross connects etc) via our upstream providers
- Liaising with internal stakeholders and with carriers throughout the provisioning of the service around ETA’s of delivery and other related communication
- Maintain our internal systems of record (Order notes, Tickets etc) with accurate data on service completion, ETA’s and other relevant notes
- Enable / update / terminate billing in our system once the service is active
- Activate / upgrade / deactivate data sims.
- Ensure smooth handoff to engineers for technical provisioning once the service is landed (ie service is live from the carrier’s perspective and our engineers will now need to configure the client specific requirements)
- Cancellation of carrier services with upstream providers ensuring our internal billing is up to date
- Physically receive and land stock into our internal platform that is delivered to our head office (this will include other hardware outside of networking equipment notebooks, servers etc)
- Manage and maintain the storeroom and stock within this is only a small part of the role as the majority of stock is direct shipped
- Allow network engineers access into store room to collect equipment to be configured
- Continually work towards improving and documenting any processes in purview
Requirements
- This is a busy and detailed role, requiring someone with a great internal customer service attitude and a strong attention to detail, as well as the ability to organize workload, adapt quickly to change, and deliver under the pressure of deadlines.
- The ideal candidate has experience working with a Telco/IT Service Provider.
- Prior experience with Carrier portals to order / monitor in flight voice orders is a must
Other skills and experience required:
- Knowledge of different network services and specifications (types of NBN, Fibre etc)
- Excellent verbal / telephone communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment with conflicting priorities
- Independent self-starter with attention to detail
- Proven high level of integrity and an ability to maintain accurate and confidential records
- Ability to collaborate and coordinate with other internal teams towards the delivery of the service
- Has pre-existing exposure to carrier portals (not essential but highly recommended)
