We are looking for a Technical Business Analyst to join our Marketplace team based at the Bentleigh East Head Office. As a Technical BA, you’ll help bridge the gap between the Marketplace team and technical teams to ensure business requirements are effectively translated into technology solutions to deliver desired Marketplace operational outcomes.
What you’ll be doing
What does a normal day in the life of a Technical Business Analyst look like? Well, no 2 days are alike at Catch but you could probably expect your day to include some of the following things:
- Decompose high level business and user requirements into functional requirements, specified in an appropriate level of detail and in appropriate forms suitable for use by the business and Marketplace team
- Lead requirements validation activities to confirm that a solution based on the requirements would meet customer needs and achieve business objectives
- Identify and document change user requirements for new business solutions and enhancements
- Support the delivery of initiatives by helping project teams meet schedule, business and budget objectives
- Review and analyse business intentions, services, processes and information
- Ensuring the development team’s priorities align to features prioritised in the product roadmap and meet quality expectations
- Using information and understanding of the business and customers to validate features and expected results through functional user testing
- Develop detailed process flows and documenting product features to support organisational change management and customer support
- Work collaboratively with external business units, primarily Product amp; Technology, to creatively solve problems, discuss stories and ensure the expected outcomes are met
Requirements
- 2-4 years experience in a Technical Business Analyst role
- Understanding of analysis, specification, validation and management practices and the ability to apply them in practice
- Demonstrated understanding of key Agile concepts and/or experience operating in an Agile environment
- Able to drive analysis of requirements and related BA activities including testing
- Strong communication skills and the ability to translate technical business requirements to non-technical business users
- Able to demonstrate business processes definition and provide functional and technical requirement documentation
- Experience using Salesforce and Tableau is essential
- Previous experience with Mirakl or Marketplaces is advantageous
- Able to lead stakeholders and lead change management
