The Role

We’re currently seeking a Senior QA Engineer to join the team. The right applicant would be responsible for developing and executing planned, exploratory and automated tests to ensure product quality. This role ultimately is responsible for planning and conducting functional testing as well as owning the overall quality process for assigned digital projects.

In addition to the below, the successful applicant will need to have a deep understanding of QA principles and can be responsible for managing the definition and integration of quality principles and processes throughout the delivery cycle.

• Liaise with internal teams (e.g. developers and product designers) to identify system requirements.
• Review requirements, specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback.
• Create and oversee detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases.
• Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities.
• Design, develop and execute automation scripts.
• Identify, record, document thoroughly and track bugs.
• Perform thorough regression testing when required.
• Identifies risk and creates plans to mitigate them.
• Monitor debugging process results.
• Ensuring the successful deployment of products into the market.
• Track quality assurance metrics, like defect densities and open defect counts.
• Enabling continuous improvement for quality strategy and related processes to improve the Two Bulls current processes to make them more efficient.
• Develop and apply testing processes for new and existing products to meet client needs
• Stay up-to-date with new testing tools and test strategies.

Requirements

As an experienced QA Engineer, you should be able to tick a few of these:

• Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools and processes.
• Familiar with creating and executing test plans.
• A detail-oriented, analytical, creative thinker, who is committed to thorough testing and issue resolution.
• Experience in writing and executing test cases, and reporting on results.
• An interest and previous experience in test automation for web and mobile apps (Cypress, Protractor, Espresso, Appium, Javascript, Calabash, XCUITest, JMeter, SoapUI, Postman, Karate).
• Ability to provide advice on Best Practices for testing, and provide mentorship.
• Experience working with Agile SDLC.
