We are hiring a Business Continuity/Disaster Recovery Manager to be responsible for our enterprise BC/DR Program. You will be responsible for maturing the BC/DR programs across the organization and coordinating our preparedness and response to disruptive incidents and ensure our ability to maintain/recover critical business operations and capabilities. This role will report to our Head of Information Security and work closely with our HIPAA Security and HIPAA Privacy Officers, our Compliance team, Information Assurance team, and individuals from each business unit and physical location. As our BC/DR Manager you will gain a deep understanding of the business processes critical to our operations, the internal and third-party software and vendors that support these processes, as well as the standards we are held to (such as HITRUST, HIPAA, PCI, etc.) to provide enterprise resiliency coordination and consulting between Technology and the Business with heavy emphasis on Disaster Recovery Readiness, Business Continuity Readiness, and Major Incident Management efforts.The location of this role is negotiable, with a location preference of near one of our major sites (San Francisco Bay Area, Hamilton/Cincinnati, OH; Redmond, WA; Austin, TX; or Brooklyn, NY). When safe to do so and as business obligations require, some travel would be expected for real-world incidents, site visits and inspections, practice exercises, meetings, conferences, facility audits, and the like.(We are not able to provide sponsorship at this time.)What you will be doing:
  • Manage Truepill’s enterprise business continuity and disaster recovery program, including planning, training, testing, and continuous improvement to safeguard workforce members, business operations, technology, reputation, brand, and facilities.
  • Build BCP readiness and testing of Disaster Recovery strategies, policies, plans, and procedures for Truepill, to include Engineering, Information Technology, Pharmacy Operations, and Business Operations, teams. BCP and DR scope would include our facilities, physical infrastructure, computer networks and systems, and our virtual, distributed workforce.
  • Conduct and update business impact analyses, including upon introduction of new critical business processes and changes to existing critical business processes.Plans, implements, and coordinates activities to mitigate business continuity risk are effective and evaluated against the costs when developing and implementing recovery strategies.
  • Be responsible for the coordination for BCP exercises such as Work Area Recovery, Transference, and Tabletop, for a global environment enterprise-wide with all business units.
  • Be responsible for the validation of technology Recovery Time Capabilities (RTC) and Recovery Point Capabilities (RPC) during testing to ensure business process Recovery Time Objectives (RTO) and Recovery Point Objectives (RPO) can successfully be achieved; provide leadership and oversight to ensure After Action, Lessons Learned, Gap Acceptance/Remediation, plan, and process improvements are completed from test results.
  • Provide subject matter expertise and consulting services on DR Testing to the enterprise on DR/IT Service Resiliency best practices, policies, industry standards, and framework while ensuring adherence.
  • Assist our business units in identifying and documenting recovery strategies for their critical business processes.Be responsible for and guide customers on tools, templates, and framework methodology for Disaster Recovery testing while supporting a business process view; responsible for global management reporting on the state of DR/IT Service Resiliency Testing metrics for overall governance.
  • Improve, automate and scale our response to events disrupting our critical business processes.
  • Assumes command amp; control of Major BC/DR Incidents, the graduation of low impact incidents to Major Incidents, and potential Major I
