Do you know how to build a machine learning vision system for traffic safety? How about working with bluetooth devices that measure asthma conditions? Or even using VR to help children deal with vaccination? Neither did we initially until we formed squads around each problem, dissected them into smaller challenges to tackle and then built the entire thing - top to bottom.

We’re a band of roughly 60 people located in the heart of Melbourne, Collingwood. We look at today’s landscape of emerging technology and build tomorrow's solutions. We solve real problems and deliver impactful experiences to humans on the other side of the screen.

The Role

We are on a growth trajectory and looking for a motivated and passionate Senior Product Designer on contract basis until the end of the year! As Senior Product Designer you’re responsible for designing how our products function, look, feel and evolve in order to deliver high quality, innovative digital products for our clients. You do this by distilling product strategies into designed solutions through a design-thinking lense. You carry a holistic understanding of how digital products are conceived, built and scaled with the ability to swiftly shift gears and work at different altitudes. Some days you’ll be on the front-lines collaborating with clients to define the product strategy. Other times, you’ll be hands-on-tools, working with your cross-disciplinary squad to fine-tune interfaces. As a senior, you will be provided a lot of autonomy, trust and ownership right out of the gate all to create an environment for you to do your life’s best work.

Requirements

• You have extensive experience in true Digital Product Design
• You have extensive experience within UI and interaction design for mobile and web solutions
• You have an eye for quality design - you’re able to produce interfaces that go beyond just form and function, providing delightful experiences to users
• You’re able to create and foster a culture of collaboration amongst cross disciplinary teams - you work closely with clients, stakeholders, developers and product managers to ensure the best possible products are built
• You are a natural facilitator who can work a room and use the right tools and exercises to draw-out the good stuff from stakeholders and team members alike
• You are a self-starter who values empowering other team members to do the same
• You have expertise with digital design principles and standards, with the ability to clearly articulate thinking
• You’re well versed in standard practices - designing for iOS, Android and web
• You’re able to create effective team environments for people to innovate and learn
• You’re willing to actively seek out mentees along with developing a group's ability to mentor one another
• You do your best work in a fast-paced environment
• Above all, you’re a good person!
