ABOUT US

‘Define Online Media’ creates advertising campaigns and manages media buying for our clients, who own products from digital packages to skincare brands. We have created several high scale campaigns that have brought in over 7 figures revenue, and built out an internal tracking system that has a ton of custom functionality not available in anything available to consumers.

The working atmosphere at ‘Define Online Media’ is flexible - as long as the few urgent tasks are handled promptly, the rest can be completed at whatever time of day/week you wish, as long as you meet the deadline. Our culture and values are focused on being efficient, lean and encouraging everyone to always be growing and learning.

Our team consists of several freelancers handling discrete tasks (landing page development, translations, copywriting) working for the CEO Kelly.

Requirements

We are looking for a tech-savvy person who will help us in executing and simplifying many of the miscellaneous tasks that don't fit into a specific category where we might have freelance team members in place to handle (like web design or copywriting for example) - basically you’ll be doing all manner of technical and associated tasks related to managing and implementing advertising campaigns, ensuring everything is coordinated and happens on time.

A big part of the role will be using existing landing pages, copying and amending them for new clients.

To ensure maximum performance we hand code our pages so you’ll need to be proficient with HTML, CSS and Javascript.

You might be a junior or mid-level web/Wordpress developer looking for more variety and challenge in your work and wanting to break out of just doing development, or you might be an ads person / media buyer that also has some coding skills and likes the idea of a job with the chance to use your blend of skills.

Your main responsibilities as a Web Tech Manager will include:

  • Hunting for campaigns that others are already running successfully
  • Taking the best of successful landing pages and modifying them using HTML, CSS and Javascript to to suit our purposes
  • Getting headlines translated
  • Sourcing ad images and then editing them in Photoshop
  • Uploading campaigns to traffic sources
  • Creating similar campaigns prior to research and approval

We have processes in place with many templates and processes to follow so this is more about using what we have and improving it rather than needing to create lots of assets from scratch.

If you’d been working with us over the past few months you’d have worked on a whole variety of things including researching and finding 5-10 solid campaigns already running (by other companies) across a variety of traffic sources, presented them to me, moved forward with creating similar campaigns for the ones I gave approval to, uploading them to traffic sources and ensuring all steps are completed for them to be successful campaigns for our clients.

Tools we use:

  • Trello
  • Skype
