Senior Associate/Special Counsel - Litigation

Job Description
Collaborate with our friendly team of lawyers and the wider BlueRock divisions including our referrers and clients.
The ideal candidate will have a strong entrepreneurial spirit, minimum of 5 years PAE in insolvency, restructuring and commercial litigation.
To be successful in this position you will have a strong understanding of insolvency, restructuring, commercial litigation experience including voluntary administrations, receivership and liquidation, advising on creditors’ rights and obligations, advising on unsecured recoveries, recovery of assets, security enforcement, winding up proceedings and general commercial litigation experience. You will also be confident and have extensive experience drafting pleadings, litigation management and appearing in the Supreme Court and Federal Court.
We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic, organised and proactive, with excellent relationship-building and communication skills, strong attention to detail and a strong commercial approach.
What you’ll be doing
You will be working alongside our litigation director providing strong support in the running of matters for clients and appearing in court/tribunals.
In this role you’ll have responsibility for supervising junior lawyers as well as end to end matter management, including liaising with clients.
Requirements
We want to hear from people who:
- Have a minimum of 5 years law firm experience with a strong focus on insolvency, restructuring and commercial litigation
- Are currently operating at senior associate or special counsel level
- Can operate autonomously, is responsible and has the ability to work directly with clients
- Possesses a high level of initiative and is strongly committed to achieving great outcomes
- Has extensive appearance experience and is confident
