What you’ll be doing
Catch is seeking a Workplace Experience Manager (open to FT or PT) to join our ever-growing People and Culture team. In this role you will be responsible for the overall employee experience in relation to the workplace, coordinating the elements that influence it and ultimately contributing to an environment that will enable our employees to be safe, effective and d their best work.
You will manage the physical layout of the workplace, including the workspaces and resources within it. You will understand the part technology plays in an efficient workplace and partner with teams on projects within the workplace. Importantly, the health and wellbeing of our employees is crucial, you’ll oversee our head office health and safety commitments and initiatives and be the central point for reporting, and compliance for head office (in collaboration with our safety expert, the OHS Manager).
As a growing business, the role will suit someone that is hands on, is able to create a strategy and vision of our workplace for the future and demonstrate the value of workplace experience projects to gain further investment in projects that help to shape and build an inspired culture.
- Oversee a small team and have overall accountability for facilities, supporting the team where necessary, working with and being a point of escalation with the property manager to have requests addressed etc.
- Create a vibrant and thriving workplace, ensuring our physical space helps our people do their best work and reflects our culture and values
- Work with your team and 3rd party providers such as cleaners and property managers to ensure the workplace operates efficiently. You’ll develop a cleaning and maintenance schedule, checklists and create service levels that form the expectation of our service providers.
- Ensure that the office has sufficient provisions to support our teams
- Assist with the setting up and coordination of employee events such as monthly Townhall meetings, end of year gathering etc.
- Responsible for site coordination of Health and Safety and be the central point for reporting (internal and across Kmart Group and Wesfarmers), training coordination, policy review, external liaison.
- Ensure we are meeting requirements for first aider representatives, fire and evacuation wardens, evacuations drills etc.
- Participate in working groups that have an impact to workplace experience (e.g. Catch Culture Club, refurbishment of the office spaces or locations, reviewing return to work guidelines etc.) and manage any works that occur at Head Office
- Weekly travel to our Fulfilment Centre located in Truganina
NB. If part time is your preference, don’t count yourself out! We are open to full time or part time (3 days a week or hours spread across multiple days) providing support to both the Head Office and Fulfilment Centre.
Requirements
- Experience in office and facilities management within a small to medium organisation
- Working knowledge of health and safety highly desirable
- Demonstrable experience and an understanding of the part that workplace experience, services and facility management play in creating a successful and effective work environment
- A natural ability to solve problems, without a manual and create practical and effective solutions
- Detail orientated it’s often the little things that help make a great workplace experience
- Skilled planner and project manager any qualifications in this area is a bonus
- Strong communicator, managing both internal and external relationships
- Able to address any immediate needs while keeping an eye on the future
- Full of energy, initiative and proactivity
