Job Description

Are you an experienced Physio or Allied Health Professional? Corin Australia has an exciting opportunity to join our high-performing Sales Team in Canberra as a part-time Clinical Specialist.

Every patient moves differently, and a joint replacement should be optimized to account for this. Corin is committed to supporting Orthopaedic Innovation from our Australian based technology hub. The performance of our arthroplasty components and global adoption of our Australian designed and manufactured technologies, along with some recent key local and international acquisitions is delivering rapid growth and opportunity.

The role would suit a practicing physiotherapist, scrub nurse or similar looking for a rewarding career change. You will provide clinical support to the current sales team and existing customers for Corin's portfolio of metal and plastic products as well as new and existing patient specific technology. Comprehensive training will be provided. This is an ongoing position and will be based out of Canberra, ACT.

Reporting into the Regional Sales Manager, you will:

  • Become an expert in all of Corin’s product range, new product information, service opportunities and special developments
  • Provide assistance during operations to scrub personnel and to surgeons, whilst dealing with any product/theatre queries which may arise
  • Facilitate in-servicing and ongoing educational workshops on Corin products and application ensuring their safe and effective use
  • Review consignments periodically and make necessary adjustments
  • Study relevant clinical articles, surgical techniques and other relevant data to build the necessary knowledge base to provide accurate advice to customers
  • Attend relevant workshops and where required complete necessary learning assessment exercises
  • Support the marketing team with clinical support materials and objectives

Requirements

Experience as a clinical specialist is a plus but not essential as adequate training will be provided. This role is a perfect opportunity to utilise your transferable knowledge amp; skills gained as an Allied health professional and apply them in the orthopaedic medical device space. You will also need to have the following skills and experience:

  • Be able to think outside the square, showing a high level of initiative
  • Be able to work autonomously, be self-motivated and demonstrate an ability to rapidly understand complex technical information
  • Have prior experience working within medical environments, particularly physiotherapy or hospital theatres
  • Possess strong presentation, communication and clinical skills to effectively build relationships with surgeons and other key clients, and internal colleagues
  • Have the ability to travel within your assigned territory
  • Ideally have strong relevant industry knowledge
