Fronditha Care is a longstanding Aged Care Provider that focuses on providing unique, culturally and linguistically diverse services to a wide range of clients within a multicultural environment.
Currently our modern facility in Newcastle is seeking an experienced Cook to work in a Part Time capacity to assist in our busy Kitchen on Afternoon Shift. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing organisation where you can make a real difference. Immediate start.
Responsibilities of this role will include:
- Menu planning, ensuring the provision of nutritional, culturally relevant and well-presented food to residents.
- Establish and review menus and prepare foods of all types.
- Ensure Occupational Health and Safety requirements are met.
- Coordinate planning, budgeting and purchasing for all food and supplies.
About You
The successful applicant will have demonstrated prior experience working as a cook in a commercial kitchen. You will be a self-motivated individual with exceptional time management skills and the ability to work under pressure. Excellent communication skills are essential as is your ability to think creatively.
Requirements
- Certificate in Food Safety
- Basic computer and literacy skills
- Excellent time management
- Excellent communication and team work skills.
- Experience in an aged care or similar environment (desirable)
The successful applicant will also be required to undergo a current police check.
