We are currently on the lookout for a brilliant Business Development Manager who has a background in the Education sector. The purpose of our Business Development Managers is to prospect, qualify and close new business opportunities for CT based on well-defined and reasonable quotas which will consolidate with your colleagues from the wider sales team to deliver on our ambitious growth targets.

Here's what you will be doing:

  • Prospect a pre-defined territory in Education - to ascertain and qualify mutually beneficial opportunities;
  • Follow a structured sales methodology and process designed to drive opportunities to closure, supporting CT’s company goals and values and ensuring that we add value to our prospective customers throughout the process.
  • Manage the full sales cycle from initial qualification through to contract signing whilst engaging the appropriate internal and partner resources throughout as required.
  • Maintain customer records, activity logs and other valuable information as defined in our Sales processes in our Customer Relationship Management System (CRM) allowing for accurate forecasting and further territory refinement in line with Business Intelligence findings.
  • Translate the technical value of CT’s products and services into positive and tangible business outcomes for both parties.
  • Attend weekly meetings with the National Sales and Marketing Manager to discuss key opportunities and the strategic plan to hit monthly, quarterly and annual goals; both revenue and non-revenue related.
  • Contribute new ideas via regular team meetings to further refine CT’s value proposition as the business continues to evolve and grow.


Here's what your background looks like:

  • Likely 5+ years’ experience as a BDM role selling technology.
  • Proven over-achievement in new business acquisition.
  • Experience and relationships within your industry vertical of Education is highly desirable.
  • IT-related degree/qualification advantageous.
  • Ability to prospect and manage C-Level and senior relationships, offering strategic insight into their business.
  • Ability to work autonomously in a highly dynamic environment.
  • Self-motivated, coachable, willing to learn and adapt as part of a team.
  • Passion, enthusiasm, energy, humour and the ability to convey this through phone, email and in person.
