The Position

Melba are seeking an experienced HR Coordinator to support a HR Business Partner and local management team in the Southern region of Melba. You will be the first point of contact for HR related queries and issues raised by staff, as well as assist with and coordinate a range of HR activities including recruitment, onboarding, learning and development and well-being. The key responsibilities are to:

  • Coordinate end to end recruitment processes, including posting advertisements, phone screening, interviewing, reference checks and administering compliance checks.
  • Generate employment contracts, drafting employment correspondence and coordinating staff departure processes.
  • Development of personnel files and ongoing maintenance of compliance records
  • Training administration
  • Workcover Administration

This is a fixed term, job share arrangement where you will work two days per week until the end of December 2022.

Our Ideal Candidate:

You are an experienced all-rounder, who is highly flexible, a quick learner with strong attention to detail and you pride yourself on providing exceptional service and support to stakeholders and staff. You are approachable and engaging with all that you interact with, backed by your strong interpersonal and communication skills. Previous exposure to the disability or community sector will be valued.

You will also bring with you.

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience working in a similar position.
  • Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills
  • Strong problem solving with the ability to work in a dynamic and fast paced environment.
  • High level organisational and time management skills with a proven ability to prioritise, meet deadlines and work autonomously.
  • Adaptable to new tasks, processes and able to learn systems quickly.
  • A natural ability to interact with a wide variety of stakeholders.
  • A team player with a proactive nature, independence as a self-starter taking initiative and accountability for work.

Successful candidates will be required to obtain a NDIS Worker Screening Check.
