Job Description
The purpose of a Lead Cyber Security Engineer is to facilitate the design, build and execution of Catch’s cyber security strategy. The role will be responsible for the delivery of security projects in Catch’s IT, OT and AWS environments. You will be the security technical SME to advise and share knowledge within the security team and wider tech groups including IT, OT and Platforms.
What you’ll bring to Catch is all-rounder experience from a technical, hands-on role focusing on implementation, configuration and enhancement of cyber security technologies and related initiatives. This is a key technical role in an Information Security team of 7, spanning security operations, security transformation, GRC and Cyber Awareness in a rapidly growing digital business supporting a large fulfilment and distribution operation.
What you’ll be doing
Initially you’ll be working on the deployment of various security tools and enabling our long term roadmap.
This will be a delivery focused role, with multiple projects commencing, to uplift capability in not just a on-prem and cloud (AWS) environments, but also in one of Australia's largest robotic automated warehouses
Although no two days are the same some of the things you’ll be doing are:
- Project delivery on a range of security objectives across the enterprise security roadmap
- Participate in major incident response activity.
- Perform security risk assessments for IT activities and projects.
- Support the security team with the implementation and measurement of Information Security key metrics and performance indicators
- Some projects include: Endpoint Protection (EPP/EDR), Email filtering, Web filtering, WAF, Vulnerability Management, SIEM and cloud security (bonus points for AWS experience)
Requirements
What experience you’ll need
- Delivering large enterprise security solutions and crafting security use cases
- Major incident response
- Liaising with Development, IT/OT and Platforms teams to ensure Catch IT and security risk and meets security standards.
- Solid understanding of security frameworks (NIST CSF, Mitre ATTamp;CK, OWASP), principles, disciplines and infrastructure.
- Be pragmatic and adaptable in how security technologies should best be configured and operationalised.
- Show an engaging communication style that brings others on the security journey.
