The Opportunity

The Director of Compliance will ensure that the business is aligned with compliance best practices (including legal, regulatory, and anti-money laundering (AML) compliance). This opportunity serves as a liaison between the business and applicable regulators within the gaming and blockchain industries as well as drafting and ensuring implementation of internal controls, applicable policies and procedures, laws and regulations for jurisdictions in which the business operates.

About You

You have 5 years of regulatory and AML compliance experience in Australian gaming. You have a strong understanding of the Australian interactive gaming market and sports wagering. You are open minded to new ideas with a mindset of innovation. You are highly accountable, display strong leadership qualities and have proven experience in providing knowledgeable and concise guidance to stakeholders.

As your role sits within a global senior leadership team, you will need the flexibility required to work across multiple time zones along with a good internet connection at all times.

Key Requirements:

• Experience working closely with and supporting the business’s key operations team, including marketing, finance, product, technology and legal areas, as well as strategic third party partners;
• Ability to manage internal controls, policies amp; procedures and compliance therewith for audit and regulatory oversight;
• Experience working on promotional campaigns/offers for submission to appropriate regulators and third party strategic partners;
• Ability to coordinate with vendors and assist with registration and licensing as may be required by various jurisdictions;
• Experience in liaising between the business and its regulators as well as strategic third party partners and ability to provide knowledgeable and concise guidance to stakeholders;
• Experience in managing regulatory compliance and AML reporting to all applicable and appropriate third party partners, federal and state regulatory agencies.
• Innovative mindset to provide new and improved learning methods to improve overall AML and regulatory compliance programs, including policy creation and amendment, training, implementation and building the organization’s overall culture of compliance;
• Capability to work collaboratively with strategic third parties as well as internal resources on investigations and communications to regulators as may be required from time to time while maintaining the strictest confidentiality;
• Ability to build and promote positive relationships with strategic third party partners, regulators, vendors, suppliers and stakeholders;
• Strong knowledge in interpretation of integrate regulatory requirements in new jurisdictions for emerging technologies;
• Flexibility to take on any other duties that arise in this dynamic and continuously advancing technological enterprise.
