Due to an internal transfer, we are seeking an experienced Senior Systems Engineer to join our Professional Services team.
Our Professional Services Team delivers infrastructure projects. The role includes end to end technical project delivery, pre-sales, reporting, capacity, change and risk management. Duties and responsibilities include:
- Providing technical input to projects during the pre-sales stage
- Undertaking technical project delivery for client projects including implementation and upgrade of new and existing systems.
- Providing input to capacity, change and risk management
- Creating technical documentation for completed projects (such as As-built documents, configuration documents, health check sheets, UAT sheets, Standard operating procedures) and providing necessary handover / training to the support teams
- Acting as a technical escalation point for in-flight and recently completed projects
Requirements
The ideal candidate is an experienced Systems Engineer, with a strength in VMware. Any experience working with a system integrator/managed services provider is highly regarded. .
Required Skills
- In-depth skills and experience in VMware, ideally with VCP certification
- Strong skills in MS Wintel products (MS Exchange, Office 365, Windows Server)
- Experience conducting infrastructure migrations (e.g. Office 365 upgrades; Network implementation)
- Solid and practical experience in MS Active Directory
- Networking (Cisco, HP), switching, routing and firewalls
- Citrix
This position is primarily located at our Abbotsford, Melbourne office however you may be required to travel within metropolitan Melbourne from time to time.
You will ideally have a current Microsoft Technical Certifications such as MCSE Server Infrastructure / Messaging, Citrix CCA (or higher) and/or proven significant industry experience.
- You will be results orientated and have strong analytical and problem solving abilities.
- You will be a motivated self-starter able to work either in a team environment or on your own.
- Strong written and oral communication skills are essential
