Job Description

Independent Home Services Pty Ltd (IHS) is offering an excellent opportunity for an experienced Registered Nurse or other Allied Health Professional to act as Service Coordinator. The Service Coordinator would be responsible for performing clerical duties essential for the efficiency of the organisation, and leading a team of AINs in the management of clinical and personal care responsibilities. The team currently provides care in the Eastern Suburbs of Sydney for a young woman with a serious chronic pain condition.

About the role:

  • Implement training recommendations and pain management strategies from OT, Physio and other health professionals.
  • Implement Behavioural Support Plan (about communicating pain management needs to support workers).
  • Communicate with case manager, doctors and allied health.
  • Organise rosters and record staff hours on timesheets, payrolls and NDIS claims forms.
  • Assist with submission of incident reports, when necessary.
  • Provide direct care to the client on a regular basis.
  • Work with both staff and client to improve service quality and workplace safety.

Requirements

You are an intelligent and enthusiastic health professional who can connect with a younger patient, and develop great relationships with your colleagues. You have a keen eye for detail and can ensure the accuracy of clerical and clinical documents. Ultimately, you are driven in assisting the client to improve her health, by improving the quality of her support services.

Essential skills and qualifications:

  • Be a Registered Nurse, or any other Allied Health Professional.
  • Able to demonstrate pain management skills and experience.
  • Available to work up to 30 hours per week (remotely and in-person).
  • Administration and/or management experience is highly desirable.
  • Able to provide two references from registered health professionals.
