An exciting opportunity exists for a self-motivated and experienced Nightshift Operations Manager to join our Team. Reporting to the State Manager this role will be based at West Melbourne, and will be responsible for Management of the Transport and Rail Department. You will be expected to drive continuous improvement, continue to build strong internal and external relationships, as well as delivering the results that allow continued growth within our business.

The ideal candidate will have the eagerness to learn and have the desire to maximise their full potential. A strong business acumen will allow you to embrace change and practice continuous and non-stop improvement in a fast paced environment.

Your key responsibilities would include but not be limited to:

• Develop and implement ongoing operational processes and practices
• Oversee daily workloads / operations and oversee job allocations for the nightshift team
• Manage the daily activities of the rail and transport operations and staff
• Provide excellent service to customers, ensuring their service level expectations are met and exceeded
• Ensure all fleet and equipment is operated, maintained and secured in accordance with ACFS service standards
• Deliver productive outcomes through effective utilisation of warehousing resources
• Ensure customer queries and complaints are resolved satisfactorily within a reasonable period

To be successful in this role we are looking for the following skills and experience:

• Experience in container transport and rail
• Proven Management experience in a similar sized operation
• Highly analytical with well-developed Microsoft Excel skills
• A focus on Workplace Health and Safety
• Able to lead and develop a team

This is a hands on and busy nightshift management role. In order to succeed in this role you must have the ability to work well in a busy environment, having an energetic and proactive approach to your work and strong analytical skills.
