We are seeking an experienced in-house lawyer to manage legal amp; compliance matters in the AsiaPac region, comprising Australia, New Zealand (distributor) and Japan.
This exciting new role will involve developing an effective legal amp; compliance function and acting as a trusted advisor to the APAC management team. The Legal Counsel (APAC) will also be a key member of the Global Legal amp; Compliance function. This is a part-time (4 days per week), and will be based out of our Sydney office, located in Pymble in Sydney’s north. There may be very occasional travel to Japan and the UK.
This role would suit a generalist who is comfortable dealing with the full range of legal issues in a fast-moving commercial environment. Compliance will be a major part of this role and a significant part of the postholder’s role will involve working with departments on compliance-related initiatives as outlined further below.
The Legal Counsel (AsiaPac) will work closely with the AsiaPac and global teams on the following areas:
With respect to compliance, the Legal Counsel (APAC) will act as the regional compliance lead, with a particular focus on overseeing/approving interactions with healthcare professionals (HCPs) and maintaining the company’s Information Security Management System (ISMS) in line with ISO27001. This will be a critical part of the role.
