As a Director, Game Design at Prodigy Education, we would be looking to you to improve, align, and empower our Game Design Team to provide a global product that empowers teachers, students, parents and school districts to push the boundaries of teaching and learning. You’ll help define the Prodigy game vision across the entire customer journey, from awareness throughout the product experience. Our product has a lot of potential, and is looking for someone who can align the many specializations we have to deliver one awesome product!Your Impact: - Your leadership and inspiration will enable our team of designers, developers, copywriters, and project managers to achieve great results
- By directing and stewarding our game vision to ensure cohesiveness across all customer touch points, (including internal communications) you will shape the story and creative voice for Prodigy
- Providing visual and conceptual direction for the Math Game product
- Managing priorities, develop effective processes, and partner with leaders across all levels
- Building strong relationships and communicating with leadership across the company
- Working alongside the our marketing team in support our existing brand
- Ensuring that each project has the specific financial and personnel resources it requires to be successful
- Commissioning and collaborating with the design team to ensure that all creative ideas are presented effectively
Who You Are:- 10+ years experience in a Design leadership role within the gaming industry
- 10+ years of experience leading + growing multidisciplinary game teams (ie Art, Game Design, Product Design)
- 5+ years of experience in bringing game design visions + narratives to life (ie shipping visions, not just creating them)
- 5+ years of experience leading Design teams though the launching, monitoring, and evolving of a live service
- 5+ years of experience Designing and shipping cross-platform game experiences (ie web, app, mobile)
- 5+ years of experience mentoring designers and providing insightful + actionable feedback on design deliverables
- Experience working in Games-as-a-Service (GaaS)
- Deeply passionate about Game Design and connected to industry trends
- Passionate about connecting qualitative + quantitative data to improve experiences
- Experience partnering with UXR to break down and understand underlying motivations in order to design optimal experiences
- Experience leveraging UXR to inform both short term improvements and long term roadmaps
- Experience helping Design teams connect experiential improvements with business impact / metrics
- Experience working in / shipping in matrixed organizations.
- Comfortable working in dotted-line reporting environments
