Job Description
We are a small, nimble, clever team working on interesting projects typically for startups and entrepreneurs across many industries.
We are looking for an experienced backend developer working in Go for a project involving data extraction from invoice documents.
The person we are looking for is very experienced in backend development, is pragmatic, thinks outside the box and is pleasant to work with.
The majority of the work is to be performed in our McMahons Point office (500m from North Sydney station).
Initially, we need someone 4-5 days per week for three months. We expect further opportunities in other projects for the right candidate.
Summary:
- Go / Golang developer with 5+ years backend experience (not necessarily in Go)
- 500m from North Sydney train station and buses
- Join a passionate and knowledgeable CTO
- Daily rate dependent on experience
- 5+ years commercial experience
- Initial 3 month contract
Requirements
Technical Skills:
- Go (Golang)
- REST API development
- SQL database experience with PostgreSQL
- Comfort with Linux command line
- Proficiency with source control e.g. Git
- Bash shell scripting
Preferred, Non-essential Technical Skills:
- Machine learning
- Artificial intelligence
- OCR
- NLP
- Devops
General Skills:
- Passionate about software development
