What’s the opportunity?
Join the Subaru Australia's Network Development team in Sydney as the Dealer Development Manager, responsible for ensuring Subaru’s dealer network is set up to deliver on our business goals both now and over the next 5 years, and the current network is delivering on our standards.
Reporting to the General Manager Network Development, your duties and responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:
- Management of processing dealer appointments, changes of ownership and onboarding new dealers; as well as dealer agreement renewals
- Management of the dealer performance review process
- Management of dealer financial reporting and benchmarking meetings
- Oversee the roll out of Subaru CI and interior image upgrades across the network, including supplier management and dealer liaison.
- Assessing dealer facility changes against our brand and image standards
- Control of the Subaru Retailer of the Year Programme
- Delivering Process improvements and programmes to support dealer profitability
- Ensure Subaru complies with all aspects of the Franchising code of conduct in this business area
To be successful in the role, you will:
- Have a minimum of 6 years related experience within the automotive industry or similar ideally in a distributor (or a related business), in a commercial or sales discipline
- Understand Dealer Financial Statements and have experience in performance focussed financial analysis
- Have an overall understanding of automotive dealer operations
- Have experience in driving performance in a retail network
- Have a tertiary qualification Business, Marketing, Finance or other relevant commercial discipline
- Have a proven ability to lead and influence others to achieve higher standards and results.
- Be a perfectionist who understands that near enough is not the required standard.
