About the Role

We are currently seeking an experienced Facility Manager for our Canberra office to manage the building and systems, while fostering internal and external stakeholder relationships. You will be responsible for managing the Administration team, operational needs and ensuring the office functions run effectively and efficiently.

What you’ll do

As a Facility Manager you will:

  • Manage the local Administration team
  • Plan and process trainings and manuals for the Administration team
  • Effective communication between internal and external customers, build cross-functional relationships between departments
  • Work closely with the company WHS manager providing a safe and secure office environment
  • Work closely and build relationships with the landlord, building management, site specific contractors and suppliers
  • Manage operational needs, escalate workflows, collaborate with internal and external stakeholders
  • Operate and control BMS, HVAC, Security Systems and general management of the building
  • Manage and fully understand the Security Access Control Systems
  • Understand and train all new IT Systems
  • Oversee and report budget in a timely manner, work closely with the finance team
  • Assist in internal Project and Procurement Management
  • Event Management for large scale internal events

What you’ll bring

  • Minimum 2 years’ people and facility management experience in a high demanding office environment
  • Excellent listening, verbal and written communication skills
  • Effective people relationship building skills
  • Knowledge and technical competence of Microsoft Office suite
  • Resilience and problem solving while time managing a high volume of tasks
  • Experience working with government agencies is an advantage
  • Knowledge of programs such as NetSuite, OpenAir, Security and CCTV Systems is beneficial
  • Advance knowledge of building methods and materials is an advantage
