We now have an exciting opportunity to bring a Brand Manager onboard our Australian marketing team working on our flagship Marley Spoon brand. You will report directly to the Chief Marketing and Growth Officer (based in Australia). This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to be part of the food revolution and join this leading Australian household brand as we take our growth to the next level.
Responsibilities:
The Brand Manager will play a pivotal role in continuing to grow and develop the Marley Spoon brand in Australia.
- Drive the local insights agenda working with our global insights team to develop an in-depth understanding of the Australian market, consumer and competitive landscape
- Lead data analysis on market performance and competitor activity, weekly
- Work with cross-functional teams to design and create exceptional product experiences that align with brand value propositions
- Lead cross-functional teams based in Australia and Germany to execute culinary and website improvements, all of which are based on consumer stated and transactional data
- Provide guidance on all brand-related communication and innovation development, working closely with the Head of Content in Australia, and our Design and Creative Department in Berlin
- Support the development and activation of local marketing campaigns to drive acquisition and retention
- Govern customer retention data and overall brand KPIs (including brand tracking)
- Be the voice of our Australian Marley Spoon customers to drive brand passion within the business

Requirements
- Minimum 4-5 years of work experience in a ‘brand or marketing’ function for a consumer brand
- Knowledge of brand ‘best practice’ and processes, exceptional written and oral presentation skills, and excellent brief writing skills
- The candidate will be required to meet with global team members (Berlin) to collaborate on projects, so flexibility to work after-hours and self-scheduling to create work/life balance is essential
- Proven project management skills. Capable of independently running complex projects spanning all business functions
- A desire to drive things forward at pace with a ‘can-do’ attitude
- Decisiveness and initiative to lead the agenda and set the stage for great results
- Interested in all aspects of brand and business management
- Comfortable working in an open environment where individual and team feedback is encouraged and practised every day
- Ability to challenge the status quo and ask the question, why?
- Willingness to engage in robust discussions with team members of any seniority and air your own point of view
- Deep consumer empathy and inquisitiveness to find solutions beyond the obvious
- Attention to detail and an eye for aligning creative work to brand goals
- Passionate about food and/or the food industry
Preferred Skills
- Ability to use shared systems cross-departmentally, eg. Monday, Asana, Jira or Microsoft Project, is an advantage
- Experience working with creative teams and providing written constructive feedback
- Subscription model marketing, specifically churn prevention strategies
- eCommerce experience or knowledge
- Food and non-food packaging design and technical knowledge
