Requirements

We’re seeking a highly organised and experienced Operations Manager to join our energetic and busy team based in Yatala, Gold Coast. Reporting to the Managing Director this is an extremely exciting role, offering a varied and dynamic workload and the opportunity to support major customers, including some of Australia's favourite brands.

The Responsibilities

The Operations Manager will be responsible for managing, coordinating and organising the day-to-day operations within the Brisbane Office, including but not limited to:

  • Gathering information, identifying bottlenecks and problems, and recommending/implementing solutions.
  • Collaborating with senior leaders to identify and develop strategies, processes, and projects to improve competence, productivity, and profitability.
  • Pamp;L management, with a strong understanding of financial drivers and cost controls.
  • Customer acquisition and retention through excellent service delivery.
  • HR: Facilitating training, development and performance management of up to 20 staff while fostering a harmonious and inclusive working environment.
  • Overseeing rostering, including identifying critical rostering needs and forecasting key recruitment drives.
  • Working closely with the transport and warehouse teams to help ensure service delivery points are met.
  • Tracking project plans and problem-solving to help manage any setbacks.
  • Engaging with external labour agencies to fill any identified labour shortages.
  • Facilitating continuous improvement to transport/warehouse operations through developing, reviewing, and updating transport/warehouse procedures.
  • Managing subcontractor contracts, ensuring all contracts and insurances are up-to-date and are in line with company policy.

You have a solid background and experience with:

  • 10+ years analyst/operations role, ideally within the supply chain, warehousing, transport or logistics realm
  • Leading team achievement through performance management
  • Planning and optimising warehouses for maximum output and efficiency with an understanding of how this underpins the wider business
  • Experienced in working with external providers e.g. 3PL and Carriers, in the Supply Chain space
  • Strong site amp; asset management experience, including facilities
  • Experience in planning and implementing transportation schedules
  • Understanding of ensuring goods are stored and transported in conditions that will maintain their optimal quality
  • Experience in ensuring compliance with occupational health and safety regulations
  • Strong conflict resolution and negotiation skills
  • Strong experience with WMS and /or TMS systems
  • Advanced Excel skills, time management amp; project management
  • Full Australian working rights required
