The Business Development Manager will be an integral member of our Growth team; developing strong customer relationships, owning the sales cycle and developing team-wide best practices. The role will interact directly with Marketing, Customer Success, Operations and Product.

The employee will be a technical sales professional with experience growing revenue, interested in venturing outside the norm, and ready to join a company with the world’s leading brands on board, a proven business model, and a high performing culture. If this sounds like you, we’d love to learn more about you.

Responsibilities

  • Drive opportunities for business growth for Awayco, for SMB and enterprise accounts by building strong customer relationships, understanding their business needs, and aligning goals and solutions to Awayco
  • Ownership of full sales cycle: identifying revenue growth opportunities, building and maintaining relationships with new business leads, onboarding support, and enhancing existing relationships through excellent ongoing relationship management
  • Deliver against business and pipeline goals whilst prioritising an outstanding experience to customers and prospects
  • Drive a high performing and professional sales culture, delivering on the targets per quarter through project management and operational excellence
  • Strategise with your team to innovate and improve the overall sales development process
  • Utilise warm leads from both the marketing and outbound, taking ownership of pitching, demoing, and closing.
  • Work closely and collaboratively with the Growth team to develop and implement appropriate prospect communication plans
  • Work closely with the Client Success Team to ensure successful onboarding of your clients
  • Proactively build and maintain strong relationships internally and externally
  • Build and maintain first-class product, industry, and competitor knowledge
  • Provide timely and accurate forecasts, clear visibility on sales opportunities and revenue performance by actively and accurately managing your pipeline
  • Ensure and nurture an environment of continuous learning and development

  • Track record of successfully selling enterprise SaaS products
  • Track record in client SaaS adoption
  • Ability to balance competing priorities and manage several time sensitive projects within minimal direction in a fast paced environment

  • Ability to build strong and deep relationships with your customers, including at a C-level within prospect companies
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including presenting to audiences
  • Exceptional attention to detail and professional management skills
  • Problem solving skills: you see complex problems, break them down and solve them in a logical and analytical way; and identity the requirements of businesses to instinctively come back with the right solution
  • Self starter with a drive to reach your own sales targets as well as enjoying working collaboratively within a team
  • Extensive experience engaging stakeholders across other functions and geographies
  • Experience in a startup is preferred (not prerequisite)
