The Business Development Manager will be an integral member of our Growth team; developing strong customer relationships, owning the sales cycle and developing team-wide best practices. The role will interact directly with Marketing, Customer Success, Operations and Product.

Responsibilities
- Drive opportunities for business growth for Awayco, for SMB and enterprise accounts by building strong customer relationships, understanding their business needs, and aligning goals and solutions to Awayco
- Ownership of full sales cycle: identifying revenue growth opportunities, building and maintaining relationships with new business leads, onboarding support, and enhancing existing relationships through excellent ongoing relationship management
- Deliver against business and pipeline goals whilst prioritising an outstanding experience to customers and prospects
- Drive a high performing and professional sales culture, delivering on the targets per quarter through project management and operational excellence
- Strategise with your team to innovate and improve the overall sales development process
- Utilise warm leads from both the marketing and outbound, taking ownership of pitching, demoing, and closing.
- Work closely and collaboratively with the Growth team to develop and implement appropriate prospect communication plans
- Work closely with the Client Success Team to ensure successful onboarding of your clients
- Proactively build and maintain strong relationships internally and externally
- Build and maintain first-class product, industry, and competitor knowledge
- Provide timely and accurate forecasts, clear visibility on sales opportunities and revenue performance by actively and accurately managing your pipeline
- Ensure and nurture an environment of continuous learning and development
Requirements
- 3+ years B2B sales/BDM experience
- Track record of successfully selling enterprise SaaS products
- Track record in client SaaS adoption
- Ability to balance competing priorities and manage several time sensitive projects within minimal direction in a fast paced environment
- An authentic approach to sales, customers needs and the ability to solution-sell
- Ability to build strong and deep relationships with your customers, including at a C-level within prospect companies
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, including presenting to audiences
- Exceptional attention to detail and professional management skills
- Problem solving skills: you see complex problems, break them down and solve them in a logical and analytical way; and identity the requirements of businesses to instinctively come back with the right solution
- Self starter with a drive to reach your own sales targets as well as enjoying working collaboratively within a team
- Extensive experience engaging stakeholders across other functions and geographies
- Experience in a startup is preferred (not prerequisite)
