Job Description
An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Fleet Controller to join our team and work out of our West Melbourne Office. We are looking for an energetic individual who will join a productive small team who will contribute to the retention and growth of our clients.
ACFS is the largest privately owned container logistics operator in Australia.
ACFS sites are strategically positioned with close proximity to all major ports. These locations ensure that our operations have dynamic and efficient access to wharf terminals. We have dedicated sites in development for Western Sydney and Melbourne and a committed Go West strategy that will allow us to expand our operations. These sites will provide additional service benefits for our clientele across the geographic metropolitan areas.
The Fleet Controller will be responsible for:
Prioritising fleet workloads
Ensure the fleet operates efficiently at all times to minimise costs and time lost
Maintain service levels to our client
Ensure our client is kept informed of any delays
To be successful in this role you will:
Prior experience with managing a fleet of trucks for container deliveries is necessary
Experience with container movements, collections from the wharf and delivery to client
Excellent computer skills including Word, Power Point and Excel spreadsheet.
Maximas and Container Chain not essential, experience would however be desirable.
Excellent customer service and communication skills
Ability to meet deadlines and work in a fast paced environment
Transport, and/or Freight Forwarding and/or Warehousing experience.
