Job Description
Catch is currently looking for a highly experienced Corporate Communications Manager to join our team at our Head Office in Bentleigh East on a 12-month maternity leave contract.
Reporting to the Chief People Leader, your focus is to develop, implement, and lead the communication strategy to engage, inform and inspire the Catch team.
As a team of one, you’re helping to build and establish a new function within the Catch business. You’ll be responsible for the creation and implementation of clear communications to bring to life Catch’s vision, values and strategy through innovative, transformative and emotionally engaging communication.
Requirements
Creating and coordinating content for Catch News on a weekly basis, coordinating any other important operational communication across the business, coordinating monthly Town Hall events with the MD and Executive team to provide monthly business updates
- Refine existing communication channels and identify and create new channels to effectively target and communicate to the Catch team, and help reshape the way we communicate to the team
- Execute new and innovative ways to communicate business strategy, brand values and information to team members that inform, build understanding, and increase engagement
- Working closely with the Public Relations and Customer Service teams to support and advise on both management of media and issues across the business to protect and enhance the businesses reputation
- Work closely with the Head of Corporate Affairs for the Kmart Group, and the broader Kmart Group Corporate Affairs team to align communication across the businesses and communicate key Kmart Group messages to keep the Catch team informed
- Work closely with our leadership team and Pamp;C to enforce the direction of the business
- Deliver and roll out communication plans to support exciting new projects occurring within the business
- Work collaboratively with key stakeholders across the business to achieve objectives
The skills you’ll have
- Tertiary qualification in communications, public relations, or journalism
- Corporate Affairs and internal communications experience
- Highly developed written and verbal communication skills
- Exceptional organisation and time management skills
- Able to operate at all levels in organisation particularly within senior management
- Ability to operate under pressure in a changing environment
- Ability to manage multiple tasks with competing deadlines
- Influencing and advocacy skills
- High level of discretion and integrity
- Strong attention to detail
- A team player
