Training Advisor

Northern Star Resources has a challenging and rewarding opportunity for a Training Advisor at our world-class KCGM Operations. This opportunity is offered as residential in the Goldfields working a family friendly roster of 5:2/4:3, this position will see the successful candidate support training and development activities at KCGM to ensure personnel are appropriately qualified and competent to complete all required tasks of their position in a safe and efficient manner.

The Company

Northern Star Resources is the global gold growth company, with three large, high margin production centres exclusively in the tier one locations of Western Australia and Alaska, USA. Production guidance is 1.6 million ounces in the current financial year, before climbing to 2 million ounces by FY27.

Requirements

Essential

  • Minimum three (3) years’ experience in a training role within the mining, heavy industrial, processing or maintenance industries.
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills with the ability to prioritise a changing workload.
  • Computer Literacy to enable record management utilising Microsoft Office.
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116 minimum).
  • Current Unencumbered Western Australian C Class Drivers Licence.
  • Experience in the development or delivery of training materials to various group sizes.
  • Clear understanding and application of key principles underlying the design and delivery of training (such as Adult Learning and VAK learning styles)

Preferred

  • Five years’ experience within training roles in either the resources or construction industry.
  • Supervisory experience of work teams.
  • Familiarity with INX database modules such as InTuition, InFlight and InControl.
  • Familiarity with Articulate E-Learning Application.
  • Confined Space (RIIWHS202D).
  • Working at Heights (RIIWHS204D).
  • Certificate IV Occupational Health and Safety.
  • Experience in the application of Learning Management Systems.
  • Excellent public speaking and presentation skills.
  • Forklift High Risk Work Licence.
  • Work Platform High Risk Work Licence.
  • Gantry Crane Operation.
  • Dogging High Risk Work Licence.
  • Rigging High Risk Work Licence/s.
