Senior Design Engineer (Structural), Design Engineer (Structural Orcaflex)

DOF Subsea provides project managed and engineered subsea construction, inspection, repair and maintenance, survey and positioning services.

Due to upcoming work scopes over the next 1-8 weeks, we are interested in talking to suitably qualified design engineers who are available to commence at short notice and are comfortable working on contracts ranging from one to eight weeks duration.

For all roles, you will be suitably qualified and the following requirements apply;

•A four-year Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Structural Engineering, Naval Architecture, Ocean or Mechanical Engineering, that is recognised by Engineers Australia for Professional Membership;

•Good technical report writing skills;

•A practical design approach that works in the real world; and

•A strong commitment to HSEQ.

Structural Design Engineers

We are currently seeking to employ Design Engineers on a temporary basis to work on sea fastening, transportation and lifting of heavy equipment and client permanent materials. The successful candidates must have experience in the design of temporary steel structures, preferably for a marine environment.

The successful candidates will have the following skills and experience:

• Minimum 2 years' relevant experience in the design and analysis of steel structures (Design Engineer);
• Minimum 6 years' relevant experience in the design and analysis of steel structures (Senior Design Engineer);
• Working knowledge of SPACE GASS software and (AISC) allowable stress design methods;
• Experience of steel fabrication will be considered favourably.

Design Engineer (Orcaflex)

We are also looking to employ a Design Engineer specialising in Orcaflex modelling and simulation.

The successful candidate will have:

• Minimum 2 years’ hands-on experience using Orcaflex software including simulation of flexlay operations.
