Job Description

ACFS Port Logistics is an Australia privately owned company that has established itself in all major seaboard ports of Australia.

We now have a full-time permanent opportunity for a Quarantine Administration Officer, to join our busy team. This position is based in West Melbourne and you will be working in the transport team reporting to the Depot Manager.

You will be part of a diverse and dynamic team where you will be encouraged to use your initiative and take on additional responsibilities to allow you to progress and expand your skills. This role will suit an energetic, flexible and motivated person keen to make a valuable contribution to the team.

Some of your position responsibilities will be to

  • Responding to Ad-hoc business requests
  • Preparation of standard and ad hoc reports
  • Liaison with other parts of the business to ensure we provide the best possible service to all our stakeholders
  • Responding to queries from employees and management

Qualification

  • Experience with quarantine services highly desirable
  • Strong organisational skills and numeracy
  • Strong Microsoft Office (Outlook,Excel,Word) skills

To be considered for this role you are required to have:

  • Knowledge and experience in field of Quarantine Services is highly regarded.
  • Good communication skills, oral and written, with an ability to listen actively to employees, managers and other stakeholders and respond appropriately
  • Ability to understand and interpret Standard Operating Procedures with respect to quarantine services and legislative requirements.
  • High level of attention to detail and thoroughness in execution of you responsibilities
  • Limits communication of confidential information to those individuals with a need to know.
  • Exhibits a professional demeanor toward others and takes pride in providing a high quality service to all stakeholders. Assists internal and external stakeholders in a prompt and effective manner while following company procedures
  • Exhibits initiative and urgency in proactively finding solutions and making sound decisions consistent with ACFS Policies and Procedures.
  • Self-Motivated Is well-organised and able to prioritise, multi-task, and adhere to deadlines while working independently with minimal supervision. Maintains a commitment to honesty, integrity, and high levels of efficiency and accuracy at all times. Accepts responsibility for his/her choices and decisions.
  • Team Player Working well with various parts of our business and offshore project teams to participate in a professional manner to accomplish the business goal. Is willing to perform tasks assigned and assists others as needed.
  • Flexibility - Adjusts positively to change in direction or assignment. Is able to handle multiple tasks and prioritise your workload.
  • Import/Export Experience highly regarded
  • Maximus system experience highly regarded
  • ICS system experience highly regarded
  • Bonds/AQIS experience highly regarded.
